Acting
| Introduction to Acting |
Ages 6-14 |
Learn basic acting techniques, tips and terms.
This fun format introduces students to voice projection, stage direction, theater etiquette, scene work and more. Students will be invited to attend a free performance of Zorrito. Suggested prerequisite to playlab

| The Zoo After Dark! |

The zoo is closed and the animals are
restless! What to do? How about an adventure? After they collect change from the bottom of the pools and the monkeys snatch the keys, the animals board a bus and head for downtown!  |

Playlabs
The following classes will put on a play. Students will audition,
rehearse, and perform. Everyone gets a part!
Size or nature of roles is at the professional discretion of our instructors. All roles provide a valuable learning experience. No refunds granted due to dissatisfaction with assigned roles. Most performances will be videotaped and made available for purchase.

On her way to visit grandmother with a
basketful of fresh crepes, Red Riding Hood stops to visit with Cinderella. Lurking nearby, Blue Beard covets the crepes and a merry fairy tale escapade ensues. Performed in French!

| The Pint Sized Pirate |

Being a very small pirate is tough
when you are anxious for a BIG adventure! But all is not lost! Find out that small can also be important when battling Salty the Sea Monster! This script has barrels of pirate characters, music and fun!

| The Pied Piper of Portlanda! |

When the city becomes overrun by hipster rats there is only one solution: to employ a musical stranger who claims they will rid the town of the pests! However, upon the Piper’s success the changeable mayor refuses to reward the talented piper. Unpleasant discoveries await the mayor who learns that not only rats are drawn to a magical tune.

they fight for unpopular causes and in general stir things up. Come and explore the importance and passion of actors and playwrights as they portray rebels in theater and film. Work on scenes and monologues acted
by greats such as Katherine Hepburn, James Dean, Marlon Brando. Celebrate your own inner rebel!  |

| Audition Workshop (NWCT season auditions 6/6-9) |
Ages 8-18 |
| This intensive audition workshop will prepare
students for various types of auditions. Students will compile resumes, learn cold-reading, improv techniques, and audition etiquette. Guests will provide information on varied audition topics. Each student will receive
individual coaching to prepare a monologue and a song for audition. Tuition includes information booklet and Star Struck Seminar. Last class is your NWCT season audition. |

Attend this seminar! Agents, directors and young actors will present information on kids in “The Business.” Topics include training, costs, portfolios, agents, odds of success and much more. Afterwards, mingle with the
