Kid’s Company NW
Quick Links

Kid’s Company NW, or ‘Kid’s Co.’ as it’s often called, is NWCT’s ambassador group to the community! Talented young performers take original musical reviews to festivals, events, retirement homes, schools and more. An important arts training ground for intermediate and advanced students, Kid’s Co students work closely with musical theater professionals to develop performance skills and become part of a close-knit, supportive ensemble and peer group.
Age range
Eight to fourteen (or through freshman year)
Participation
Students interested in Kid’s Co. are considered at NWCT season auditions, held each June. From there, selected students are ‘called back’ and troupes are cast from a second round of auditions held in September. Four troupes of 18-20 performers each are selected, two for the holidays and two for spring.
When auditioning for Kid’s Co., we look for musicality and skill in singing, dancing, comedy and acting. Conflicts play an important part in casting. If you are overbooked, Kid’s Co. may not be for you. Commitment, behavior, performance experience, training and attitude are also considered.
