Summer Nights!

Summer Nights!  is a rigorous, four-week advanced summer musical theater intensive, culminating in a weekend of performances. This ‘triple-threat’ evening program was developed for serious musical theater students who demand a challenge – so get ready to act, sing, dance… and sweat! 

 

Students study a variety of musical theatre styles and prepare ensemble, duet and solo work for performance. This disciplined class is designed to help students gain much needed skill and experience through an intensive rehearsal style process. We are looking for variety in age and skill level to create an ensemble of Portland’s most dedicated young students of musical theatre.

NWCT Artistic Director Sarah Jane Hardy, ASCAP Award winner Ezra Weiss, NWCT Resident Actor John Ellingson and professional guests.

Twelve to eighteen

Participation

Students interested in Summer Nights! are considered at NWCT season auditions held each June, or by special invitation. Selected students are notified after their audition and invited to register for the class.
