Teens NW
Quick Links
Teens NW provides advanced theater students with performance opportunities as part of their ongoing training as theater artists. In addition to honing performance skills, students cultivate a sense of responsibility, commitment, and ensemble.
The educational focus of Teens NW centers on new work development and the production of material that challenges and highlights the unique abilities of the cast. These student actors focus on the artistic process of acting techniques including script analysis, character development, new work development, and more. As part of NWCT’s Second Stage, Teens NW productions feature student casts, with occasional support from professional adult actors, and are mounted against the backdrop of our Mainstage sets.
Teens NW productions and projects vary by term and offer a range of challenging and rewarding experiences for these exceptional young performers.
Ages
Fifteen to eighteen (younger students may be admitted by program director)
Participation
Students interested in Teens NW are considered at NWCT season auditions, held each June. From there, selected students are notified of callback auditions held in advance of each term (Fall, Winter and Spring). After these callbacks the ensemble is selected, and actors are notified and provided instructions, schedules other details.
